In March, FGUP "Izhevsky Mekhanichsky Zavod" has traditionally taken part in the International exhibition
PRACTICAL WORLD - 2006 (Cologne, Germany).
27 exhibits have been presented. The new design and good location of the stand attracted many visitors. The
interest was shown to all models, although the main interest was in the range of rotary hammers. Most of visitors noted, that
the main advantage of "Baikal" power tools is the manufacturing of main components and parts at the enterprise, without aid
from other manufacturing companies. This capability is a guarantee of reliability in the whole world.
Most of the foreign participants exhibited power tools in the DIY and semi-professional range. That’s
why sophisticated "Baikal" power tools, intended for continuous professional work, turned on special buyer`s interest.
During the exhibition leading company`s specialists have carried out analysis of the western market and markets
of developing countries. Around 40 negotiations have been held with several trade partners, including company Central Purchasing,
with whom the company has been already working and discussed the possibility of expanding the cooperation.
For over four years power tools manufactured at Izhevsky Mekhanichesky Zavod have been sold in the USA market
under the "Chicago Electric" trade mark. New 115 V samples of chain saw and angle grinder have been presented for testing,
in order to obtain UL certificates. Several other items, which were interesting for customers will be manufactured and presented
for testing. We hope US market will have new "Baikal" products in the nearest future.
Izhevsky Mekhanichesky Zavod is the only Russian manufacturer of power tools, to take part in this German
exhibition, which indicates the strengthening of the "Baikal" power tools.
